It’s not every day that a designer gets to design a french-style chateau in Colorado. Especially one where the clients want to incorporate more modern furnishings into a traditional home. Many designers would find this task challenging and perhaps even tell you that you can not mix these styles together.
However, Greg and Jason, two of our talented designers tend to be rule-breakers and as you will see, they have managed to blend the styles beautifully.
Greg used Benjamin Moore Millstone Gray to restore the cabinets to their full glory. He then selected these electrifying pink faux reptile patent leather bar stools with an aged bronze finish.
Greg decided that it was unnecessary to move any walls as he wanted to keep as many of the charming European details as possible. However, he decided that this french-style chateau would show best if he took the walls down to a basic white and then added color and texture as needed.
Greg and Jason, were recently awarded the 2019 Care Award Winner for Custom Home Interiors, our clients, were a well-known Denver sculptor and her husband/ business partner.
The goal for the interior design was to maximize the amazing mountain views and the furnishings to allow for a comprehensive display of her sculptures while assuaging a “gallery” ambiance. See this award winning home
