Fresh Yet Retro Columbine Valley Mid-Century Modern Home Remodel

Our designer Pam, was really excited when she was awarded the opportunity to remodel this Columbine Valley’s Mid-Century Modern home.  And for good reason, as this style is timeless, yet fresh and retro at the same time.

True to its style this home boasts a range of colors from neutral to bold yellows, as well as beautiful wood and fun lighting elements.

Furnishings are a blend of contemporary and modern creating an eclectic interior that is not strictly Mid-Century Modern, but contemporary, warm, and interesting.

Lighting was very fun and an important element to this home – each selection was decided on as a whole…. how every fixture worked together because of the proximity to each and the open floor plan.

The white ledge stone on the exterior was carried into the interior and the same quartz was used on all exterior patios, creating a flow from the outside to the inside.

Alterations were made to the original conceptual floor plan that included a peninsula with a custom open shelving unit over the cabinetry in the Kitchen, which helped to separate the Kitchen from the Dining Area.

The use of African wood in Niches and fabulous light fixtures make this home stand out above the rest.

Lighter Gray glazed Oak floors with contrasting dark cabinets are offset by the elegant Crystal Quartz Countertops that was also used as the backsplash, keeping it clean and simple.

Unique materials were selected that included an African Wood Mosaic from Porcelanosa that was inlayed on accent Walls, a metal Mosaic tile for the Powder Ceiling and Bar Ceiling, and a Custom Glass Staircase to maintain an open feel.
